Perspective
The advantage is in the business. Not just the model.
Why a useful AI conversation starts with the knowledge, decisions and work that make an organisation its own.
When leadership teams discuss AI, the conversation often begins with a tool. A more useful starting point is the business itself: what it knows, how it works and where execution becomes difficult.
A model can provide capability. The way that capability connects to a company’s knowledge and daily work determines what it can do for that company.
Start with a decision that matters.
Choose one recurring decision or task. Understand who owns it, which information they use and what a good outcome looks like. This gives an AI initiative a business context before technology becomes the focus.
Connect knowledge to the work.
Existing data is only part of the picture. Teams also rely on definitions, exceptions, judgement and experience. A useful intelligence layer needs a way to work with this context, including knowing when information is incomplete or a person must decide.
Build for learning.
Agree how people will review the output. Record corrections and examine where the application helps, where it creates extra work and where it should stop. Improvement should be connected to evidence from the operation.
